The Hamilton store stocks wetsuits, surf boards, bodyboards, water skis and wakeboards, packs and sleeping bags, bikes, outdoor footwear, boots and sandals, fishing gear, snowboards, skis, snow clothing and Kayaks. We have a full ski and snowboard workshop as well as a leading bike workshop. We have world renowned and experienced ski and snowboard boot fitters.The store stocks leading national and international brands – Icebreaker, Giant, Jamis, Trek, GT, Marmot, Northface, Columbia, Rossignol, Burton, Ride, Salomon, Volkl, K2, Quiksilver, Roxy, Oneill, Ripcurl, Osprey, Vaude, Coleman, Freedom, Merrell, HO, Hyperlite, Connelly, CWB, Liquidforce, and so much more.
Our bike department specialises in providing excellence in service for everyone from the recreational rider to the serious downhiller or road racer. We have a full cycle workshop that is sort after for its repair quality and pricing. Our staff also ride bikes and we use their experience, paired with Dialed in Motion, to ensure we get the correct bike fit for you. We stock mountainbikes, roadbikes, kids bikes, BMX, Commuting and downhill bikes. The ‘bike guys’ have a great local following and for good reason.
On the camping side we also have a large number of tents on permanent display instore. This gives you the opportunity to truly compare the internal useable sizes of the tents and make an informed choice. Canvas, Dome and Adventure tents and all the accessories you will need from furniture and cookers to headlamps.
Not forgetting the strong product knowledge and service aspect – just ask Derek – he has been there over 20 years!

Staff Profiles
Derek Carter
DC, Dippy what ever you know him as Derek personifies R&R Sport he is what we are all about. He loves the outdoors and is a stalwart in the surf at raglan. His Jetskis mean he is often off chasing big waves wherever the swell may be. Derek has taken his crazy surfing skills to the streets and mountain with a freeride bike that he loves to get out on when the surf is flat. Derek can answer any question you may have about our sports and has an almost rock star like following from his core customers. Always up for an adventure Derek has caught sharks of the rocks with a hand line in OZ, Ridden a bike around Europe and Camped out all night trying to land a massive Brown Trout.
James
Wants to be a Canadian. Newest member to R&R Sport, he brings to the team his passion for downhill biking and snowboarding, from his time instructing in Canada and Ruapehu.
Jo Price
Boomerang back Jo. Jo Price worked for us for a long time in both our Auckland store and Hamilton as a full timer. Jo took some time out to raise her little man, but has come back to the shop ready to go. She enjoys riding her GT bike and snowboarding and her experience means she is a great addition to the team. Full time camp, footwear, Icebreaker department Manager.
Jojo Tayelor
Jojo came to us back in her Uni days, when she was an up and coming ripper on the mountain. She has headed off to Canada for a season where she chiseled her boarding skills at Sunshine village. A keen surfer, Jojo is another on of the crew based out in Raglan who loves to get out for an early morning mission at Manu Bay. Jojo is in charge of our administration at the shop and without her, the shop wouldn’t have any staff here to open. Jojo has tried a bunch of the gear here and can give men or women awesome advice on product to fit your needs. She loves getting out on her Giant Cypher down at the red woods and is a qualified Personal trainer!
Lester Perry
Lester is our part time bike/snow guru who is known by almost everyone in the riding fraternity. He is a cycling legend who is equally at home on mountain or road and has photo’s published in several magazines. Lester is a glutton for punishment and has been known to race from Rotorua to Taupo, opting to ride back to the start rather than get a lift. Lester has his own clothing label Quiet Chaos, which is awesome as can be seen modeled by most staff at R&R Hamilton.
Levi Johnson
Levi is our new Bike Manager who has come to us from far far away in British Columbia. Levi brings us fresh ideas and a distinctly Canadian flavour. He has a passion for all mountain riding (Reign 0) and dirt jumping and has been seen getting his legs torn off by Morgs and Lester on the hills as he is 100kg’s. Levi loves getting smashed every Saturday playing rugby and often comes to work bruised and beat up on a Monday, looking like he has gone over the handle bars into a tree in Whistler. Levi loves getting out tramping and spear fishing when he gets a chance.
Mat Gorter
The resident agro ginge (strawberry blonde) from Tokoroa - enough said. Often seen destroying souls & egos in A-Grade on the road. Part time bike mechanic, full time cyclist.
Maxine Pepper
Camp mother to us all! Max is our stock processor who keeps the team together and ensures that you get your stuff on time. She has the most important job in the shop because without stock, no one has fun. Max is always the life of the party and will drop everything to come out for staff functions. Max has an awesome family who keep her on her toes, with her waterskiing husband and two awesome kids. She is a much loved and valued member of the team.
Morgan Moore
Morgs is our much respected head bike mechanic who guarantees to get your bike riding smoother than ever before. Morgs has been ripping it up in the redwoods for years as a guide and passionate ripper. He is style personified on his jump bike or Giant Reign X1 and can rip lines that blow my mind. Morgan has earned a reputation for getting your bike tuned right!
Wayne
Wayne oh Wayne. Definitely the life of the party - any party, he's not fussy! Regularly makes the gossip column of our staff newsletters and we really can't share that content on a public site! He also happens to be the shop manager, due to his enthusiasm for life, sport and people. He's the jack of all trades and master of none when it comes to sport! And, as you can see, our most handsome staff member.
