Sessions Founder and CEO, Joel Gomez, became involved in the sport of snowboarding in the early eighties when riders were still strapping boards onto their feet with bungee cords and were barred from riding at ski resorts. His passion for skateboarding, surfing and the fledgling sport of snowboarding motivated Joel to build a future for himself in the action sports industry. In 1983, Joel opened a retail snowboard and skateboard shop in Sunnyvale, California, the first ever dedicated snowboard shop in the US.

From its modest beginnings, Sessions has grown into an internationally recognized line of action sport apparel. Throughout its 26 year history, Sessions has earned a reputation for innovation, winning numerous awards within the industry for consistently designing the most technically advanced outerwear. With its roots still planted deeply in skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, and punk rock music, the Sessions brand remains synonymous with the authentic core sports lifestyle and culture.
